Martini Modern Italian

This is one of the few places I hadn't been in Columbus. The food was amazing! I would highly recommend the Mozzarella appetizer. I had the lasagna and my wife had the tortellini. The food was top notch and the service was even better. I hope we don't wait so long to go back.

My partner's favorite meal is roasted duck, and except for Chinese restaurants, it's hard to find others that have it as a feature on the menu. We frequently go to happy hours at Cameron Mitchell restaurants (fabulous, by the way), and talk to quite a few people while we're there. We talked to one of the servers who mentioned that Martini Italian (a Cameron Mitchell place) had roasted duck on the menu from time-to-time, and that I could call, and even if it wasn't the feature, they'd likely prepare it in advance, if a reservation was made.I went to the website, and under "Contact Us," asked if, in fact, they would prepare a special dinner in advance. To my surprise, the manager called me back the same day and said yes. I made the reservation, got an email confirmation, and all was set. She also went into detail about the duck would be prepared, and it sounded wonderful.

The food was pretty but very bland! I will never go back! I have to say my waitress was AWESOME! She was so pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. I have heard great things about this place but now that I have been, I now know, it's over rated.

My wife and I love this place. The food is always top-notch in the service is always great and friendly. We have never had a bad meal here highly recommend or anyone going to the convention center or Nationwide Arena.

The food was incredible, the place was cozy and the attention was superb. We went there for our anniversary dinner, and got a great experience. The waitress was over the top, she recommended exactly the best fit for us, always came promptly to check on us without being annoying. We ordered and appetizer, a pasta and a dessert, everything was brought on time, and when they bring you the past it's a whole show, as they practically finish preparing it in front of you. It was the perfect choice for a special night. Downside of the place: there's only street parking (which is always full), but there's a valet parking service for $10, so that's the only thing to have in mind. Otherwise, prepare to enjoy a wonderful night with great food in a nice place.

Dinner at Los Angeles' Providence is an all-evening affair. The service is beautifully orchestrated and the meal is truly the showpiece. Plan to stay for two hours or more, watching as course after course is gracefully presented at each table around you. The mood is festive; since there's a good chance someone in the room is celebrating a birthday or anniversary. For the full experience, arrive a half-hour early and enjoy a deliciously innovative cocktail in the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant's lounge. Tailored to the seasons, a savory winter choice includes the “Eskimo,” made with cognac, spiced squash, egg, cream, vanilla and black truffle.

The traditional Italian cuisine was delicious as usual. Nice variety of food, wine and cocktails. Service was very good, though it took awhile to receive our food. We ended up staying longer than expected. Great experience overall!

I came here with my wife for our anniversary and we had a great time. They had great portion sizes, a lot of gluten free options, and friendly staff. Definitely will come back.

Incredible Oso Bucco (braised veal shank—think pot roast at the next level) served over saffron risotto. Definitely worth coming back—locally sourced beef.

Have nothing to complain. Fast friendly service, good Italian beer on tap. And I loved my red beets salad as well as my butternut squash tortelloni.

Place was better than expected. We were not sure on portion sizes but they were good. The lamb was so good. If we didn't buy drinks and extra meals we could have walked out of there spending less than 100 $. Service was excellent for how busy it was.

My favorite Italian restaurant in the greater Columbus area. I have been there 3 times now and everything I have ordered (cocktails, appetizers, first plates, second plates, and desserts) has been spectacular. If you haven't tried the squash tortellini you should. It is one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Service was also top notch. Our server Joe was on point and we lacked for nothing. Wonderful experience. We will be there again for certain. Valet parking is offered and makes parking much easier in this part of the city.

As usual when I reviewed them they were especially kind and service was delightfully professional. However, who put the zing in the zest. This lasagna was worth the mouth watering wait. Kudos to Martini. Bravisimo.

Nice spot. Very friendly people. Good atmosphere and food good as well for the most part. I am not sure if it's modern Italian, but it's not bad. Salmon is really good, risotto on the other hand is watery and they don't use the aborio rice they use some other rice that is not creamy in it's nature. I would not recommend risotto. Apps are all good, try the antipasto and octopus and definitely go for happy hour from 5 to 6 pm for $6 drink and half off apps

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing 2 year anniversary date night of food, great service and laughs. I am still giggling over how good the food was. What a great place for an anniversary dinner.

I love Martini’s! It is one of my favorite Cameron Mitchell restaurants. The food is amazing, the service is wonderful and I’ve always had a great experience here. It’s a little pricy but my family loves going here on special occasions.

The restaurant has a really good vibe and the dining room had some nice ambience. Our server Joe was great and took care of us the whole evening. He made some helpful suggestions with the menu. The food was delicious. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was excellent. Dessert was pretty damn good too. All in all a very delightful dining experience.

We went to Martini and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing with great service, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. The mozzarella appetizer is wonderful, and the lamb pasta dish and the penne vodka dish are all amazing. I'd highly recommend Martini, and we will be going back.

Service top notch, tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection. Mike was our waiter .he is a definite asset to the company said he has been there for 20 years , very accomodating.

Service was great, food was very good and extremely fresh. Bottles of wine are 1/2 price on Sunday nights, what a deal!

Martini is an absolutely beautiful spot, the food is excellent, and they always showcase exceptional customer service. They also have a very cool back room for private events if you ever have need of such.

Great food, great atmosphere and great staff! We found out that you can do HALF PORTIONS of everything!.... which is great because you can try like 4 different entrees (at least) while you're on a date. BIG fan of that!

I’ve never had a meal here that I would not consider the best food I’ve had in Columbus (hands down). This is the place I go to reward myself! The fillet is amazing and the tomato soup is a gem that I never would have thought to be as excellent as it was!

Ate here before a concert. Awesome service from April. Everything we had was delicious from our cocktails to dessert. Great date night place. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

Really amazing dinner experience with wonderful food and superb wine. Went for a friend's bachelor party and had an amazing meal. The service was great and attentive and the food was out of this world. Everything we had was phenomenal and was cooked to perfection. Make sure to try the fresh mozzarella, it's great!

Went with a large group of people. We had 3 servers taking care of us, and they were absolutely on top of things. The food was so incredibly good. I had the salmon. It was cooked to perfection. It was flavorful and juicy, not at all overcooked like salmon often is. The little house salad with artichokes was also surprisingly good. They are proud of the fact that almost every single thing, from salad dressing to salmon, is made/cooked in-house, and they should be. The food was worth every bite.

Drinks were delicious, food was great, nice portions and the staff was super attentive. Definitely worth a visit or two.

If you are looking for a great cocktail, and straightforward Italian food, go no further. Best veal chop ever - served with roasted potatoes and spicy sweet picked peppers - fantastic combination. When I was there this week I also had the Lobster risotto - it was delicate and filled with chunks of lobster and sweet bits of tomato - a treasure and could be meal on it's own if you are looking for something light.

No disappointment here. We arrived at 4 pm and were seated promptly on a Saturday evening, the atmosphere is warm and alluring, service was very prompt.In a matter of minutes our server, Joey, arrived and took our drink order and made an excellent recommendation to try the mozzarella versus the bruschetta. The mozzarella, crostinis, pesto and tomatoes were amazing and I would have ordered two if I knew how good it was. The salad was fantastic, truly delicious. Lastly, the pennette alla vodka....easily my favorite part of the meal. I am not a foodie by any means and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. We were out celebrating my boyfriends birthday, sharing a piece of the chocolate torte. I would definitely recommend it. Joey was kind enough to comp the dessert and overall was very pleasant from beginning to end. We will surely go back.

Upscale Italian with a great Happy Hour. Bartenders were friendly and efficient, and the same could be said for the restaurant. Caesar salad was one of the best I have had, and the chicken parmesan was delicious! In the heart of Short North...a fun area of downtown Columbus!

My husband and I went for our 18th anniversary. The environment was very elegant! Most importantly, the food was spectacular! We both had the steak and it melted in our mouths. The red wine reduction over the steak gives it such a wonderful flavor. I still dream about this steak! I highly recommend!

Tip: start with happy hour at the bar. It's M-F from 4-6. Half off cocktails and wines by the glass. And basically half off a ton of the apps you would pay full price for in the dining room. Your girl loves a deal. We followed up with a 6:15 reservation in the dining room.That said, I would have paid full price for our cocktails and appetizers, but this way we were able to try many things We tried the Fresco, Dark Cherry Manhattan, Pear Elderflower, and Grapefruit Gimlet cocktails. We had the Tuna tartare, Bruschetta, and Arancini. Everything was so good and the drinks were good and strong.For dinner, my partner had the Lamb Pappardelle and I had the Strip Steak. Both were amazing.For dessert we had the Lemon Mirenque Tart. Neither of us were blown away by it and wouldn't have it again. Too much mirengue and not tart enough for our tastes.The atmosphere was great. Upscale but not stuffy. The staff went above and beyond, we never had an empty glass or waited too long for anything.

Who knew that Columbus Ohio had restaurants like this??? High-end Italian with craft drinks and chef-quality food. Service was good, but not on the level I'd expect for the prices - bread was not warm, though olive oil and pesto for it was high quality. They had trouble with timing - bread came after appetizers were finished, appetizer plates were not cleared before entrées came, and wine ordered to go with entrée came as entrée being finished. That said, food was suberb.

Outstanding meal tonight at Martini. We split a well portioned kale salad. Scallop dish and butternut squash tortellini were excellent. Well managed establishment with excellent service. We'll be back!

Fantastic place guys. Great atmosphere, best dang house beer I've had in years, and the lamb was FANTASTIC! We will definitely be back!!! Great date night!!

This is a fairly upscale modern Italian restaurant. The food here is top notch. They do their Caeser salad the traditional way and one can tell by how good it tastes. I had the chicken marsala, which most establishments manage to either burn or make the sauce too thick. The sauce here was well balanced and paired nicely with the chicken and mushrooms. The tiramisu was solid as well. I must also add the staff here was extremely helpful and friendly. They are a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for.

We had a great time at Martini! Great food and service, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. We really liked the fresh mozzarella appetizer, the tuna tartare and the streak was great!

The manager and our server Brian were amazing and did all they could to make sure we left full and happy.
